A popular mythological story, loved and read by many, comes to life with a cornucopia of Indian mythological characters! This ballet was specially commissioned by Vishwa Shanthi and is written and composed by Chennai based poet and musicologist, PR Venkatasubramanian and sung by Guru V Krishnamoorthi. Choreographed by Artistic director, Shreelata Suresh and performed by her and 35 dancers in elaborate costumes and roles, we promise you a musical and visual treat.
Unlike a typical Indian dance performance, the dance-drama format brings together more characters, stories, colors, and costumes bringing more appeal for all ages and cultures.
